US will not sanction Tukey for S400 deal with Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump said there will be no U.S. sanctions imposed on Turkey over its decision to purchase Russian missile defence systems, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday, hours after the two leaders held bilateral talks. Erdogan said at a news conference at the G20 summit in Japan that Turkey expected the delivery of F-35 stealth fighter jets from the United States, despite the dispute over the S-400 deal. He added that the Russian systems would be delivered in the first half of July

Golden Asteriod

If anything launches this metals mining space race, it will be this asteroid--Psyche 16, taking up residence between Mars and Jupiter and carrying around enough heavy metals to net every single person on the planet close to a trillion dollars. The massive quantities of gold, iron and nickel contained in this asteroid are mind-blowing. The discovery has been made. Now, it’s a question of proving it up. NASA plans to do just that, beginning in 2022.   ALSO ON RT.COM Origins of gold discovered in space Of course, says...

US sanctions against Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei (cause&effect)

New U.S. sanctions against Iran's supreme leader and foreign minister have closed off diplomacy, Iran said on Tuesday, blaming the United States for abandoning the only route to peace just days after the two foes came within minutes of conflict. U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing sanctions on Monday against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other senior figures. Sanctions against Foreign Minister Mohmmad Javad Zarif are expected later this week. The moves came after Iran shot down a U.S. drone last week and Trump called off a retaliatory air strike minutes before impact, which would have been the first time the United States had bombed Iran in decades of hostility between them. Trump said he decided at the last minute that too many people would die. "Imposing useless sanctions on Iran's Supreme Leader and the commander of Iran's diplomacy is the permanent closure of the path of diplomacy," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas...

IRGC Commander: Shooting Down of American Drone Sends 'Clear Message' to US TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami confirmed downing of a US spy drone on the Southern coasts of Iran on Thursday, stressing that the move should alert Washington officials to stay away. "At dawn, the IRGC Air Force bravely downed an enemy spy drone which had crossed our borders and was violating our national security," General Salami said, addressing a congress in the Western province of Kurdistan on Thursday. He added that the incident sent "a clear message" to the US and other enemies that Iran will show a firm and crushing response to any aggression. "Borders are our red lines and any enemy which violates them will not go back home and will be annihilated. The only way for enemies is to respect Iran's territorial integrity and national interests," General Salami said. ...

H2O & HDO

H2O & HDO The mystery of why Earth has so much water, allowing our "blue marble" to support an astounding array of life, is clearer with new research into comets. Comets are like snowballs of rock, dust, ice, and other frozen chemicals that vaporize as they get closer to the Sun, producing the tails seen in images. A new study reveals that the water in many comets may share a common origin with Earth's oceans, reinforcing the idea that comets played a key role in bringing water to our planet billions of years ago. Dirty Snowballs Planets form from debris orbiting in a disk shape around a star; small pieces of debris can stick together and grow larger over time. Leftover debris remains in regions of our own solar system like the Kuiper Belt, beyond Neptune, or the Oort Cloud, far past Pluto. Comets come from these areas, but we can only see them when their orbits bring them closer to the Sun. The heat from the Sun causes some of the dirty snow to ...

Mars Helicopter PM MiMi Aung

Mars Helicopter MARS HELICOPTER PM MI MI AUNG NASA's Mars Helicopter Testing Enters Final Phase NASA's Mars Helicopter flight demonstration project has passed a number of key tests with flying colors. In 2021, the small, autonomous helicopter will be the first vehicle in history to attempt to establish the viability of heavier-than-air vehicles flying on another planet. "Nobody's built a Mars Helicopter before, so we are continuously entering new territory," said MiMi Aung, project manager for the Mars Helicopter at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. "Our flight model - the actual vehicle that will travel to Mars - has recently passed several important tests." Back in January 2019 the team operated the flight model in a simulated  Martian environment . Then the helicopter was moved to Lockheed Martin Space in Denver for compatibility testing with the Mars Helicopter Delivery System, which will hold the 4-pound (1....

Space Atomic Clock will be working like GPS Five Things to Know about NASA's Deep Space Atomic Clock NASA is sending a new technology to space on June 22 that will change the way we navigate our spacecraft - even how we send astronauts to Mars and beyond. Built by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, the Deep Space Atomic Clock is a technology demonstration that will help spacecraft navigate autonomously through deep space. No larger than a toaster oven, the instrument will be tested in Earth orbit for one year, with the goal of being ready for future missions to other worlds. Here are five key facts to know about NASA's Deep Space Atomic Clock: It works a lot like GPS The Deep Space Atomic Clock is a sibling of the atomic clocks you interact with every day on your smart phone. Atomic clocks aboard satellites enable your phone's GPS application to get you from point A to point B by calculating where you are on Earth, based on the time i...
