US Sends More Military Equipment to Northeastern Syria TEHRAN (FNA)- The US army has deployed new military and logistical equipment in Hasaka city in Northeastern Syria, local sources said. The equipment was sent to Geweran region whose government buildings had earlier been occupied by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Arabic-language website of SANA news agency reported on Tuesday. It added that a major part of the military equipment dispatched to Hasaka are radar and electronic warfare systems. Also, the region that hosts an ISIL-only prison has been the scene of increasing flights by the US helicopters. Rescue work has continued all day for people still missing at the site in the Hpakant area of Kachin state. A wave of mud and rock triggered by heavy rain engulfed those collecting stones, the fire service said. Myanmar is the world's biggest source of jade but its mines have seen numerous accidents, many involving people who scavenge for stones.
