Convert number: 2,020 in Roman numerals, how to write?
1 Break the number (decompose it) into place value subgroups: 2,020 = 2,000 + 20;
2 Convert each subgroup: 2,000 = 1,000 + 1,000 = M + M = MM; 20 = 10 + 10 = X + X = XX;

3 Wrap up the Roman numeral: 2,020 = 2,000 + 20 = MM + XX = MMXX
MMXX is the group of numerals in additive notation
