Moonsoon
Moonsoon came from Arabic. Mawsin in Arabic is 'Season'. Moonsoon is to mark the rainy season in SE Asia. Monsoons are large-scale sea breezes. Moonsoon season in Myanmar lasts 5 months normally (now is 4 months) between end of May to end of October (that was 30 years ago before the climate change)
How desert nomads introduced the word Asiatic Moonsoon to us? Arabs were very early seafarers such as Phoenicians (now Lebanon), then Vikings (Scandinavians), Chinese, Portugese, Spanish, British and US, one naval power after another followed this rough sequence.
I have several Filipinos friends, they have Arabs blood in their DNA
