Call Centers Era One Time Ago






CALL CENTERS
I noticed that telephone 'call centers' in popped up in LA around 2000s. The telephone companies like AT&T, (now defunct) Pacific Bell hooked up foreign based call centers and its customers in US. I called several times for directions in LA. The funny thing was, at that time, I lived in LA, right?, the person answering/giving me directions was from India. That was before GPS. What I was trying to say is that India was advanced in IT area since that time way ahead of every one. Back to the story, I was confused and I said to that person that I live in LA, you live in India, and you were giving me directions?, and after that I stopped using those call centers and I remembered they disappeared pretty soon (note: that was before GPS and Internet such as google map etc etc, back that time, the professional drivers/couriers in US used "Thomas Guide" which was a great map book as I recalled)

Byal ဗျာလ or ဗျာလ္လ (Byalal)

Byal ဗျာလ or ဗျာလ္လ Nawarupa (Burmese: နဝရူပ ; Pali: navarūpa, lit. "nine forms"), also known as byala (ဗျာလ or ဗျာလ္လ), is a chimeric creature found in Rakhine mythology. The nawarupa is made of 9 animals, possessing the trunk of a naga or elephant, the eyes of a deer, the horns of a rhinoceros, the tongue or wings of a parrot, the body of a lion or naya, the tail of a peacock or yak, the ears of an elephant or horse, and the feet of a chinthe or karaweik. In the Konbaung dy nasty, the nawarupa decorated one of the ceremonial royal barges Byala is a mythical creature which embellishes religious structures, especially in Rakhine State .
